Suitable for all levels, but get ready to sweat! Ashtanga Foundations classes are centered around the 8 limbs of Ashtanga Yoga which strive to promote non-violence, contentment, asana (physical posture), pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (withdrawal from the senses), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation) and ultimately working towards samadhi or enlightenment. The class begins with the traditional Ashtanga opening mantra and gently transitions into a varied pranayama practice. This pranayama is sustained throughout sun salutations and holding posture portions of the Ashtanga Primary Series. Postures include standing and balancing postures, forward and back bends, twists, and inversions. The end of class slows down with a sitting meditation which transitions into a relaxing savasana. Each class ends with the Ashtanga closing mantra leaving you feeling empowered and part of this powerful Ashtanga community.

Jivamukti In-Class Private (ICP)
Suitable for anyone looking to experience and entire practice at the hands of a personal assister! Traditionally, yoga was taught one on one—one teacher teaching one student at a time. In modern times, yoga is more often taught in group classes. The Jivamukti In Class-Private (or ICP) allows students to experience both methods of teaching simultaneously: the student and his or her private certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher together attend a regular group class. From beginning to end, the student practices with the guidance and hands-on assists of the private teacher. ICPs always conclude with a special deep relaxation yoga massage in shavasaha. An ICP can be adapted to almost any Jivamukti Yoga class, but is most frequently given in an Open Level class. This is an experience guaranteed to deepen your understanding of proper alignment in a variety of asanas!
Jivamukti Open Level (All Levels)
Suitable for all levels, Jivamukti Open Level classes are centered on a globally-set “focus of the month” essay, written by Jivamukti Co-Founders Sharon Gannon and David Life. The theme is explored through a variety of class elements including dharma talks, Sanskrit chanting, asana (physical practice), incredible hands-on assists, yoga scripture, music, pranayama (breathing), deep relaxation, and meditation. The largest portion of the class consists of asana practiced as vinyasa (movement synchronized with breath and intention), with the teacher guiding students through vigorous sequencing that includes: seated, standing, balancing, forward and back bends, twists and inverted postures - with optional advanced variations and wall work.
Originally, yoga was taught by one teacher directly to one student. The great ancient teachers understood the importance of individualizing each yoga experience to meet the needs of the student. Today, a private lesson allows for a more intimate view into your practice. You can start a new practice, deepen your practice, or spend some time working with an injury or condition. When you work with a teacher one on one, the teacher is able to help you experience the benefits of yoga in a safe, personal way. Private Yoga is an invaluable tool for students of all levels and experience. Private lessons provide the perfect setting to address your goals and work on areas of individual interest. You can work with the teacher of your choice or we can match a teacher to meet your expressed needs. Private Yoga can help you deepen your practice, gain confidence, answer questions and provide guidance. Our teachers can develop a home practice tailored to your individual needs.
